The two-day workshop, in collaboration with the Engineering Biology Research Consortium (EBRC), convened leaders from the industry, government, and academia to explore the current landscape of nucleic acid synthesis in India. The aim was to identify specific barriers and potential incentives to encourage responsible screening and foster international collaboration to address biosecurity risks.
